our first week after the launch has been pretty good. unfortunately we still have some bugs in our iPhone app, which have already been fixed, but were not yet approved by apple. we’re expecting the approval within the next 1-2 days
since tonight, we have improved our friend search. now you can search your twitter and facebook friends of course, but we also updated the friend search within the platform. simply click on the “loca.li button” (see below).

while we are working pretty hard on the upcoming open beta, our app’s got approved. 
some of you might remember, that the reason we decided to go “open” as soon as possible was that our app’s got declined by apple because we are still closed.. humm..nevermind.
nevertheless.. although we’re closed and we call an approved app our own, we still wanna launch really soon (Monday or Tuesday). For those of you, who are already beta testing: you can download a new version in iTunes! This is very important, because we’ve changed our development accounts. right now we are working on our open beta, we’re planning to go live within the next week including some new features and deleted bugs! additionally we’ll have a brand new iPhone app version, coming with check-ins, check-in requests to your friends via push notification (more info coming soon), publication-options to facebook (twitter of course, too – but that’s not new) and new privacy settings.

Last night we released some new stuff for you guys within the platform. First, you now have the chance to invite up to 5 friends to loca.li! Let your mates be part of this community. Second we’ve fixed some bugs and did some redesigning. Third, you now can use twitter AND facebook to post your stuff! Please connect with facebook in your settings.
In a few days we’ll be releasing the new iPhone App version including check-in features and some surprises! Be prepared.

All images and graphics are now iPhone4 ready. If you are a proud owner of an iPhone4 already, you can now enjoy the brilliant and crisp new look of our app on your Retina display All iPhone 3GS and iPhone4 users can now use orientation on the loca.li map. The green locator is now connected to the internal compass and turns around if you do.
Right now we are working on our check in and some other nice features, be prepared for some exciting new stuff! we’re counting the days for the next wave of beta users, hopefully you will all get an invite within the next days
